We know that if you have a pet, your pet is one of the important family members in the household.  
Like other family members, concern for how they are coping with changes and how they will be taken care of in the future can be of great concern.

Perhaps they have lost their appetite or are reacting differently with more people visiting or strangers in the house.
We understand that your pet can be a source of concern at these times and we would like to be able to offer support to you, while you have so many other things going on for you.
Dr Heidi Ward-McGrath of Vetcare offers free vet consultations for the pets of Hospice Wairarapa patients either at the clinic or in the patient’s home.
 
If treatment medication is required that is a cost outside of the consultation.

Vetcare is also offering to our Hospice Wairarapa patient’s free cat boarding in the clinic cattery and adoption services for pets requiring re homing.

We are very grateful to Heidi and her team and know this will give comfort to many of our patients who do worry about their pets at this time.

Hospice services are available free of charge to all of those that have a life limiting illness in the Wairarapa.
